Ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) is the most common complication of assisted reproductive techniques(ART), pregnancy can aggravate OHSS and even endanger women′s life safety. Therefore, active prevention, close monitoring and timely treatment are needed to avoid the serious consequences of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a multisystem autoimmune disease that occurs in women of childbearing age. Pregnancy can lead to the change of SLE from quiescent to active, which increases the incidence of complications such as pre-eclampsia, pregnancy loss, premature delivery and intrauterine growth retardation, which seriously affects pregnancy outcomes. This article focus on the identification and management of pregnancy combined SLE activity period, in order to reduce the adverse outcome of the mother and fetus.
Pregnancy is a complex physiological process in which a series of changes in the immune system is to maintain the mother′s immune tolerance to the " non-self" component of the fetus and the normal response to external stimuli. At the same time, during pregnancy, the incidence of certain autoimmune diseases increases, or stable disease develops or progresses, which are also closely related to the special changes in the immune system during pregnancy. However, the exact mechanism of its occurrence during pregnancy is still unclear. This article reviews the literature on the changes in the immune system during pregnancy and the immunological basis of autoimmune diseases in pregnancy.
