Abstract:

Simulation-based training in obstetrical emergencies can effectively reduce related adverse maternal-fetal outcomes by enhancing clinical comprehensive skills and confidence of obstetricians, and improving the team communicational ability. However, the effect of simulation-based training will fade out as time goes by. Therefore, simulation-based training should be used regularly and repeatedly in obstetrical emergencies, such as shoulder dystocia, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage and eclampsia.

Key words: Patient simulation, Shoulder dystocia, Umbilical cord prolapse, Postpartum hemorrhage, Eclampsia
