Early identification and standardized treatment of lupus crisis in pregnancy

Abstract:

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) , known as a chronic autoimmune disease, occurs frequently in women of childbearing age. Lupus crisis refers to severe SLE that is acute and life-threatening. Pregnancy may aggravate the condition of pregnant women with SLE and even induce lupus crisis. Early recognition and standardized treatment are the keys to rescue the lupus crisis pregnancies' lives.
