Abstract:

Women with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and their offspring are the high risk factor for type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Appropriate intervention of GDM pregnancy women and their offspring is the first line to prevent T2DM. Postpartum blood glucose monitoring and follow-up management have important social value and economic benefits. By strengthening the understanding of the long-term poor prognosis of GDM, expanding the postpartum health education content of GDM, and comparing the latest postpartum management guidelines of GDM in China, this aim of paper is to improve the compliance of postpartum blood glucose screening in GDM women, identify potential population of T2DM as soon as possible, and optimize postpartum health management services of GDM in China. In addition, to provide a reference for exploring a scientific postpartum follow-up model of GDM, it is proposed to apply new media technology to the postpartum follow-up system of GDM.
