Abstract:

Preeclampsia complicated with hypertension encephalopathy is a less commonly encountered type of hypertensive emergency, highlighted by severely elevated blood pressure, accompanied by cerebral edema and the signs and symptoms of brain circulation dysfunction. The diagnosis of hypertensive encephalopathy requires the first elimination of other causes of central nervous system dysfunction. Usually, intravenous antihypertensive treatment has a significant effect, and timely treatment generally has a good prognosis.
