Abstract:

Objective

To explore the indications of prenatal diagnosis and the pregnancy outcome in patients with recurrent spontaneous abortion(RSA) and provide a relevant basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment of RSA.

Methods

We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 60 patients diagnosed with recurrent spontaneous abortion, who underwent prenatal diagnosis by chorionic villus sampling or amniocentesis at the prenatal diagnosis center of Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University from January 2018 to December 2020. We analyzed the proportion of different indications of prenatal diagnosis and the pregnancy outcomes of participants with different prenatal diagnosis indications.

Results

The most common indication for prenatal diagnosis was RSA complicated with advanced age, followed by RSA complicated with ultrasonographic soft markers of aneuploidy or fetal developmental abnormalities and adverse pregnancy history in the third place, which accounts for 33.33% (20/60), 21.67% (13/60) and 16.67% (10/60) respectively.

Conclusions

Indications of prenatal diagnosis for RSA patients are diverse, prenatal diagnosis for RSA patients is an effective measure to achieve eugenics.
