Diagnosis and treatment of hypercortisolism in pregnancy

Abstract

Abstract:

Hypercortisolism in pregnancy is a rare but dangerous endocrine disorder that can be easily missed. Obstetricians should raise awareness of Cushing′s syndrome in pregnancy, differentiate between physiological activation and pathological activation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis, and make an early diagnosis to implement appropriate targeted treatments. This approach aims to improve both maternal and fetal outcomes.
