Clinical diagnosis and treatment of venous thromboembolism during the postpartum period

Abstract

Abstract:

Venous thromboembolism is one of the severe complications during the postpartum period. Venous thromboembolism includes both deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. As the disease can become life-threatening, so early diagnosis and standard treatment are the keys to improve pregnancy outcomes. This paper describes the mechanism, diagnosis and treatment of puerperal venous thromboembolism.
