Abstract:

Epilepsy affects the pregnant outcome, increases perinatal morbidity and mortality. Meanwhile antiepileptic drugs increase the prevalence of congenital malformation. Appropriate antiepileptic drugs are the key point of management for epilepsy in pregnancy. Pay attention to the treatment of epilepsy in pregnancy, such as single drug, avoiding using valproate and phenobarbital, minimum effective drug dose, monitoring serum antiepilepticdrugs level regularly and making adjustment timely.
