Abstract:

Advanced maternal aged pregnancy (AMAP) is usually defined as pregnancy at the age of 35 years and older, which has been found to be associated with numerous adverse maternal and perinatal outcomes. The AMAP is not only related with the increasing number of fetal chromosome aberration, but also relate with fetal non-chromosomal anomalies and fetal growth retardation. Strengthening the prenatal screening, diagnosis and management of the AMAP associated fetal abnormalities has great significance for reducing the occurrence of birth defects and perinatal mortality.

Key words: Maternal age, Fetal diseases, Chromosome aberrations
