Postpartum hemorrhage is the leading cause of maternal mortality in our country. As most pregnant women deliver the baby in primary hospitals, so it is pretty important to prevent and treat the postpartum hemorrhage well in primary hospitals. In this article, the authors elaborate several issues: recognizing and treating the risk factors of postpartum hemorrhage, managing the third stage of labor actively, increasing the postpartum hemorrhage bearing capacity of pregnant women, recognizing postpartum hemorrhag and settle "the fourth-stage of labor" , and transfer the patient timely and safely.
