Abstract:

Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) remains the major cause of maternal morbidity and mortality throughout the world. Several studies have described the immediate maternal complications such as the impact on physiology, pathology, anatomy and internal secretion of pregnant women. Nevertheless, only a little information is reported about the long-term psychological of postpartum hemorrhage women. This article review the reports about the long-term psychological of severe postpartum hemorrhage patients, such as persistent anxiety and feeling impending death, post-traumatic stress disorder, sexual problems, et al. These findings highlight the need to provide long-term support for severe postpartum hemorrhage pregnancies.
