Life support therapy and obstetrical management of amniotic fluid embolism

Abstract:

Amniotic fluid embolism (AFE) is one of the rare and extremely serious pregnancy complications. AFE occurs rapidly and is a catastrophic condition that threatens the lives of mother and baby with a very high mortality. Once the patient is diagnosed as suspected AFE, treatment should be started immediately. Implement timely high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation to ensure the patients with basic breath cycle supporting. On the premise of saving lives of patient, the pregnancy should be terminated as soon as possible.
