Abstract:

Sepsis during pregnancy and puerperium is one of the important causes of maternal death. The onset and progress is rapid. Delay in treatment may lead to worsen prognosis. Obstetricians should strengthen their understanding of sepsis to reduce the incidence and promote early detection and treatment. When an infection or suspected infection occurs with end-organ damage of unknown cause, the diagnosis of sepsis should be considered. Multiple score scales are helpful for early screening and evaluation. "1 h cluster treatment" is emphasized in treatment of patients with sepsis. The importance of identifying in obstetric sepsis infection cause should not be overemphasized. Meanwhile, relevant inspections should be improved as soon as possible, and treatment should be made according to the etiology. The timing of termination should be individualized.
